Nintendo8 found a way to play old games from the 8-bit era right in the browser. They use a Java-applet to startup emulation-software and the only thing you have to do is, going on the website, choose one of the system and one of the games from the archive they offer. There is not only Nintendo NES emulator availalble, but also games and emulators from Master System, C64, Gameboy and DOS.

And now comes the most interesting part: The games they offer on the site are excellent preselected. Of course they offer the classics like Contra, Rainbow Islands and Super Mario. But they put also lots of rare, obscure, but highly recommended fun games on the site. You can browse them by genre with screenshots. One click away from playing. Get ready to explore unknown digital entertainment areas. Get ready to play!

Just to show you two examples, some recommendations: Millipede and Rollerball.
