Yesterday I found this here on youtube: An undead TB-303. The device was bought in a wrecked and desolate state and the new owner fixed it, replaced missing parts and also put shiny white LEDs into the 303. This does not only looks cool, but the sound-characteristics are also a little but apart from the original. Wrrraaaah, let the sound live on!

Unfortunately I missed the REVISION2011 demoparty in Saarbrücken, the more or less inofficial successor of the BreakPoint-Party, that took place in Bingen before always at the Eastern days. Mapping Festival

The Swiss Mapping Festival for VJing and visual culture will start again this year an may. The festival has its doors open at 10 days (!) – you can visit Mapping in Geneva / Switzerland from 19.- 29. May 2011. This year the festival will focus on the technical aspects of video mapping, including mappings on bodies. GarageCUBE will also present their new software MadMapper. Right at the moment, there are no details yet on the ticket-sales and pricing, but it seems, that coming over will be worth it. Read more on the Mapping website.

Kompakt Charity Compilation Japan

Famous Label / Distribution Kompakt from Cologne prepared a great Japan-support compilation. 34 Tracks between contemplating electronic, floating ambient and straight minimal grooves. The mp3-version of the whole release cost 7.99 Euro. There are many options, where to buy, but Kompakt encourages to buy the release at Bandcamp or Other Music, because there are 100% of the proceedings going to the Red Cross Japan. HiScore Pixeleditor iPhone iPod HiScore Pixeleditor iPhone iPod

The HiScore Pixeleditor for iPhone and iPod Touch is finally available on the AppStore. It is a neat tool for “pixeling on the go” that not only has nice sound-effects, but also a cursor, for making pixel-precise drawing easy. You can simply clone and modify existing images, and send them per e-mail to anyone. The editor also got a simple color-picker, that let’s you easily pick colors from the canvas with a double-click. You can also define five hot-colors, that you can pick instantly. There are more features coming up, since the editor will be updated in an incremental fashion.
