Marble run is a collaborative gaming approach. Every user can build a custom “Marble Level”. The marble runs along this track from start to goal. The distance the marble runs is measured. The somewhat goal of the platform is to provide the “longest marble run that ever was.” Well, at the moment the current track-length is at 662 kilometers. The game was already made for the Mozilla GameOn challenge 2010. As a special bonus you can even download a special “Marble Run”-Font (.zip / ttf).

Neat animation: a clash of artificials, strange artifacts and digitalism. Especially the music is a strange contrast to the digital richness of the motion. This piece was made with Cinema 4D and After Effects but indeed also looks a little bit like demosceners stuff. Designer: Dima Grubin. (via)

Holy cow. We had massive issues with out Digital Tools RSS-Feed within the last weeks (or even months). Nobody did tell us!! Yesterday I fixed it in a general blog-maintenance day. Fellow RSS-readers: welcome back!

There are other good news for the facebookers out there: I also did an “official” Digital Tools Blog Facebook-page, that is waiting for your likes! If you are reading this on the website: have a like at the top-right sidebar. Otherwise just go to the Facebook-page and like it there. We like you, too!

Beautiful stuff for MacBook lovers and people who like colors as well. This item came via Etsy, but unfortunately already sold a long time ago. Will someone please do something similar again? According to the product-site at Etsy, this are stickers “made by special material-Avery MPI. If you don’t like and want to have a new look, you can clean it easily.” But I guess, that the black borders of the single keys still remain black…

And while we are at cool colors, I also found this nice picture, that won’t fit in any category, so I just post it.
